Thought it might be a modded one, but seems not. If on automatic, well, as Nono54Fr says, check you don't have the retarder on (game should warn you about that, though). The truck doesn't matter. ANY truck in the game will go faster than that with any load. I disabled these two, but I can't tell the difference (nor I understand what it should be). I was under the impression that engine braking just meant limiting the speed with the stick, so I don't understand how that would be automatic anyway, since I drive manual. As for the retarder, I know that my current truck has one but as far as I can tell it makes no difference, either with the I would like the automatic retarder option works depending on whether the truck gearbox has a retarder or not. I use this feature and on trucks without retarder it still works. I would like you to fix that. sorry for my bad english and thanks so much! The thing is I've noticed in ETS2 when I increase the retarder it also engages the engine brake, and sometimes I only want the retarder to engage. Is this normal and expected behavior or am I doing something wrong? I've double checked the options: I have automatic retarder and engine brake both set to of, and my controls are also set correctly.
